GroupSystems currently has contract to permanent positions available for a Senior Java Developer in its Broomfield, Colorado office.
Position Summary
The individual in this position is responsible for the designing, coding, testing, delivery and maintenance of software applications that are commercialized by the company. This position requires advanced Java development skills, solid team experience, as well as knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
Principal Job Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain high-quality applications using Hibernate, JMS, XML, and Java

Assist in identifying and troubleshooting software defects

Provide recommendations for design and performance improvements
Core Competencies / Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
-
A minimum of 4 years of experience with developing applications using Java

Expertise in Hibernate configuration and usage.

Familiarity with the Eclipse IDE and other technologies such as Ant, Log4j, Spring, XSLT

Bachelor's degree in a systems related discipline preferable

Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with various levels of GroupSystems staff, customers and potential customers

Should bring an attitude that is proactive, flexible, innovative, collaborative, and open-minded
