GroupSystems, in collaboration with Project Management Institute (PMI), conducted a survey of PMI's members to measure the needs of Project Managers for collabortation and technology to assist their processes. After evaluating the data, GroupSystems found that increasingly Project Managers need collaboration tools and support to accomplish their goals.
• 87% of project managers want new tools to reduce the number of meetings and meeting time
• Getting a broad survey of opinions is the most important challenge currently facing
project managers
• 90% of project managers want to improve decision-making and accountability
• 72% of project managers believe that an anonymity component would increase frank discussions of important issues
